We were praying for you guys. For you. Linda got this burning on her heart to share with you why You are REALLY Important!
It’s time to talk about it. You are really important.
What you do is really important.
Sometimes we can forget that we are important to other people, and we kind of, just think about ourselves and what our day looks like, and the struggles that we are having right now.
Your Choices Matter
But actually, what you do and the choices that you make are super important and other people are relying on you. Other people attached to the decisions that you make.
And there are other people attached to how you spend your money. It doesn’t seem like that should be true, but I’m going to tell you why.
All right. So, there might be some things that you feel you’re really passionate about, or that have been burning in your heart, but you are kind of, stuck because you don’t know how to move forward because you don’t have the money to do it.
This could be anything. I know one of my friends was telling me that she really wanted to play the piano. She felt like that was something that was really in her heart. She felt like it was a way that she could worship the Lord.
She needed to get her piano tuned, and so she is … She made a plan.
She’s made a plan and she is getting her piano tuned next week, which I think is just awesome. But it’s like, simple things like that, that maybe you need a little bit of money for. If you’re living paycheck to paycheck, that’s a big deal, getting a piano tuned. And I think it’s like that for a lot of people.
Having A Budget
A budget can help keep everything in its place, keep any money from getting lost at Target. And prioritize the things that are super important to you, and what you’re doing, again, you are so important and there are people waiting for the things that you have to give, that you feel like you don’t have to give it right now.
This is kind of, a round about way to pitch to you that you really need a budget. And I realize that it might sound a little bit silly, and a little bit like, “Come on, are you serious?” But we don’t run this business to teach people about their finances, because we think that everybody just needs a budget. That is just not our goal.
Our goal is to empower you to do what God has called you to do. You are called. You are chosen of the Lord, and you are important. It is okay to need money to do some of these things, and it is perfectly okay to decide, “I’m not going to spend my money on this right now. I’m actually going to put it towards this thing that the Lord has really put on my heart.”
I think the important thing here is that, like in our case, we were a mess financially and as we started getting this revelation and moving down this path, we felt God’s wind at our back moving us forward so much faster.
So, we stepped out, we committed and we prayed, and we said, “Lord, this is what we want to do. We want to honor you with this and we want to move forward with this.” And then we saw God sweep in and just help us move forward so much faster than we could have in our own strength.
That’s what he wants to do for all of us. And like you were saying, it’s like there is so much for each and everyone of us to do. There are things you are called to do. There are people you are called to reach, and it’s really important.
And it seems insignificant, that it’s just your money. It’s just your checkbook. No one uses checks anymore. But it’s really important stuff, because there’s big things attached to it. There are souls attached to your budget.
It’s A Big Deal
It’s a big deal. It’s easy to forget that and to just think of money in terms of whatever, but money is a big deal. And that’s what we’re trying to, I think, the reason we’re making this video, just highlight that and share some of that revelation that we got with you, so maybe it can sink in or rub off on you a little bit.
And one more thing I want to add. If you do think that taking care of your finances is not a spiritual issue, the Bible talks about finances. There’s almost 2,000 verses, I believe referencing money in some way. It’s shocking!
I think love is the only topic that was talked about more by Jesus than money… which is REALLY interesting.
If you’re thinking, “Oh, well this has nothing to do with my spiritual walk or what I have to offer the world,” it absolutely does. And God made sure that, that would be on your radar, because he put it in the Bible so much.
If you were needed any little nudge to start a budget or to get serious about it, or if you need permission to start a budgeting category specifically for this thing that God has laid on your heart, this is your permission.
We are giving you permission!
We’re not only telling you that you have permission, we’re saying do it. Do it today and start moving forward!
2 Corinthians 9:8 says: “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
So, lean into that, because he can do that. If you have a vision to start a business to reach people, if you want to be a missionary, if you want to start a ministry… God can and will provide.
Do you have a calling or something God has placed on your heart that you need to budget for? Be sure to let us know in the comments below and we’ll pray along with you.
