A 21st-century Christian Financial Class for your church or small group
Our brand new True Financial Freedom 6-session course is a Biblically sound financial class where you don’t just learn textbook theory but the exact apps and tools that we use to simplify your financial life.
And it’s kind of like having coffee with friends who are here to encourage, inspire, and help rekindle the dreams God put in your heart.
As seen in:
“4 months later, people are still telling of the new levels of freedom they found.”
Lifegate Church has tried several Christian financial curriculums over the last five years. They found that they all focused on the spiritual side with no real-world application or just on the nuts and bolts without integrating Biblical truths.
In October 2023, they invited their church to join, and they ended up getting over 110 attendees to the program. Over the months that followed, the attendees made significant financial progress in their own lives, and Lifegate saw generosity increase across the board from everyone who attended.
They told us, “What I love the most about what you guys do is it’s incredibly practical and deeply spiritual at the same time… This was incredible that it did both and in such a clear and easy way.”

When you bring True Financial Freedom to your church… giving goes up 🚀
Not because we twist students’ arms or yell at them but because we give them practical tools, hope, and inspiration. And we’ve found that yields a desire to give better than anything else.
“After the giving session, my wife and I decided to double our giving from 10% to 20%

The True Financial Freedom Philosophy
We help them live totally free for the advancement of the kingdom
The True Financial Freedom class is a whole new way of looking at money. Less about constantly saying NO with your money and more about discovering the freedom to say YES. Less penny-pinching and more thriving in your God-given gifts and talents.
They’ll spend less time thinking about money and get far better results.
Here’s the thing. You don’t have to be a financial expert, spend 10 hours a week budgeting, or read 100 money books to succeed financially. We focus on teaching our set-it-and-forget-it methods of managing money because we always prioritize simplicity. This leaves you with a simple money system that will help you spend less time managing money than you currently are.
We can’t serve God and money, but we can serve God with money
As Christians, we have a different set of money rules. Yet most of us are unknowingly playing by the world’s rules and wondering why it isn’t working out. We help you tap into the unfair advantage we (as Christians) have with our financial lives.
We help you quickly and easily get your money sorted out because you need to get on with your life and the work God has called you to without money getting in the way.
Money is simply a tool God provides to help us do the task He’s given us
True financial freedom is less about yachts and private islands and more about being free to fulfill your God-given purpose. Money is simply a tool God provides to help us do the task He has given us. Sure, when you can afford it, get your private island and send us an invite 😉 but the key is always in seeking Him first, never the stuff.
We don’t teach textbook ‘theory’ that worked two decades ago.
Instead, we obsessively study what is actually working today while filtering it all through a Biblical lens.
We then test it ourselves, and then we share our firsthand experience of what works with our students.
So this is less “textbook” theory and more learning directly from a mentor who has been there and worked through it.
“… after attending your True Financial Freedom class, we increased our annual giving percentage by 14%“
–Tyson and Meesah K. (TFF Students)
And leading a class is as simple as pressing “play”
Our curriculum is designed so all you need is someone to press “play” on the videos.
Each session is 90 minutes in length and has a few points for group discussion or individual reflection. So as long as you can press play and maybe pass out a worksheet and snack, you are good to lead it. We take care of the rest.
What students are saying…
You know how most Christians want to be more generous but are stuck living paycheck to paycheck?
The True Financial Freedom class solves this with a simple 4-part framework to help them earn more, save more, & give more while ending money stress.

Is the class suitable for all financial stages and ages?
We believe that there is no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to personal finance. But at the same time, there are Biblical strategies and principles that will always be relevant and applicable to our lives. This class focuses less on a bunch of dogmatic rules, and more on identifying the key principles so that you can apply them to your specific situation, regardless of your financial stage of life. As a result, we have had students who were teenagers, 70+, multi-millionaires, on the poverty line, financial advisors, stay-at-home moms who have given the class glowing reviews.
Can the class be customized to fit our congregation’s specific needs?
Yes, just reach out and let us know what you need, and we will provide suggestions on how to best go about it. For example, we have helped churches adapt it to shorter sessions instead of 90 minutes, and to 4 weeks instead of 6, and we are even able to offer sermon ideas to accompany the content. Bottom line: Just contact us and let’s chat.
Some Christian financial classes promote the prosperity gospel – does this one?
Simply put, we believe following Jesus for how He can prosper us is kind of like marrying someone for money. It’s a shell of a relationship. Jesus is the true prize, and God loves us too much to let us settle for anything less. And yes, like any good father, God loves to bless His kids, but chasing the provision rather than the Provider is a mistake. Jesus is always our greatest gift and treasure, far greater than any financial blessings that may come our way.
How is this different from Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University?
We want to start by honoring Dave Ramsey and the Ramsey team for all the great work they have done and all the lives they have impacted. They have greatly impacted our lives, and we owe a debt of gratitude to them (pun intended).
While both True Financial Freedom and Financial Peace University are finance classes for churches and have some similarities, there are some key differences that our students and facilitators have said set TFF apart:
1. A strong Biblical focus + insanely practical tips
Generally, students say TFF is more Biblically focused. At the same time, it leaves the student with more specific practical action steps. It is less theory and more practical application. One pastor described TFF like this:
“What I love the most about what you guys do is it’s incredibly practical and deeply spiritual at the same time… It was incredible that it did both and in such a clear and easy way.”
2. A more holistic view of finances (not just debt)
Dave Ramsey is the guy to go to if you want the tough love, kick in the rear to get your debt paid off. And we have pointed people over to them countless times over the last decade for that.
But we have discovered that there is more to our financial lives than just paying off debt. Yes, we believe it is an important aspect of stewardship, but we view it as more of a by-product of getting simple money systems in place. And while we put it high on the priority list, it isn’t at the top of our priority list.
3. It’s a grace-filled financial literacy curriculum that leaves students with hope
Some other Christian financial classes can leave students feeling guilt or shame for their money management decisions. Our students consistently comment that the class is inspirational, hopeful, and that it feels like “a conversation with friends”.
Do I have to be a financial expert to facilitate the class?
Nope, not at all. Anyone can facilitate! You really just need to be able to press play and pause!
What are the logistical requirements for hosting the class?
We sought to make this as simple as possible for you. All that is needed is internet access and a screen large enough to display to the group you bring.
We recommend that you either print off the included worksheets for each session with your own printer, at Kinkos, or purchase the optional workbooks to go along with the class that have the worksheets built in.
Do you have assets to help promote the class to our community?
Absolutely, upon signing up, we will provide you with graphics that you can use for social media, ProPresenter for announcements, and email campaigns.
We also provide a couple different versions of short info videos that can be shown during service to give people a feel for what the class will be like.
And best of all, we have an included case study from a church who had 130 students enroll where they share Youtube video clips showing how they pitched the class from stage, the exact emails they sent to their community, and the exact copy they used to have such a successful class.
Can the session length be adjusted?
Yes. We know that every church/organization has differing needs, so we have worked to adapt to whatever your needs might be.
Most churches just carve out 90 minutes once a week for 6 weeks to go through the class. That allows for the whole group to watch the session video (somewhere from 55-70 mins in length) and have a couple points for short discussion.
Some churches opt to block out 2 hours to be able to facilitate more group discussion during and after.
And some who are limited to a 30-60 time frame will have students watch the session at home and then meet together at church/or in their small group just to discuss.
How is True Financial Freedom different from your other courses?
This is completely different than our other courses (Real Money Method, 10x Investing, Pay Off 10k). TFF is more of a Biblically based all-in-one financial class, whereas our other courses are narrow and topically focused.
