Bad Days. We all have them. Thankfully we also have the Word of God to turn to on days that just seem too hard to handle. I love that, don’t you?
The next time a bad day rears its ugly head, meditate on these 10 verses and be reminded of how much God cares for you!
Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 41:10 ESV
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
1 Peter 5:7 ESV
Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
Philippians 4:13 ESV
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Psalm 9:9-10 ESV
The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Joshua 1:9 ESV
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Romans 5:3-5 ESV
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Psalm 28:7 ESV
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.
Matthew 11:28 ESV
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
I want to encourage everyone who is going through any circumstances or situations read the Book of Psalms. These chapters of Psalms I have found these have really lifted my life and soul up, with God’s Spirit in me of course. Especially psalms like Psalms 47 and many others. Any Psalms that talk about worshipping God has lifted me up personally.
I understand that life at times can have it’s ups and downs, it trials and struggles in life at times. But we shouldn’t let those struggles dictate who we are in Christ. This is why I have started and will continue to read the Book of Psalms.
Just remember God loves you and wants the best for you. He knows everything about you, inside and out. When you trust in God and his Word, you will find that anything you go through in life will seem a miniscule to what God has planned for you and has a bigger picture for you in life.
Please read ,”Matthew 6:25-34″ it’s an interesting verse ..I personally enjoy reading it.
@Matthew, Psalms have always been a “go-to” during times where I seek comfort, as well as times of restlessness, which always subsides with knowledge. Psalm 46:10…to feel a sense of peace in the Psalm I personally struggle with most…will leave me at a loss for words everytime.
@Dauda, thank you for your suggestion, I am always pleased with scripture I am less familiar with for meditation!
Hello , I love these scriptures & they are also decorative. I was wondering if there is a way to print these off ? I have a friend who just lost her husband & I would like to share these with her & myself as going through cancer, & a daughter going through times of depression. Thank you!
