Planning a Wedding on a Budget: 4 Tips for Saving Money

written by Linda | Saving Money

The first way to save money on your wedding is the most important: you have to want to save money. I’ve noticed in the past few years that some things are worth paying for, and some things are not. But just because you don’t pay for something doesn’t mean you can’t get great results (and sometimes better results) by using your creativity. Here are some simple things to do to save money. They all involve creativity, so open your mind and get creative (or call you sister or friend or aunt in the room to help you out)…

6 tips for a debt free Christmas

written by Bob Lotich, CEPF® | Budgeting, Debt Help, Saving Money

Why after every Christmas are most people looking at huge credit card bills wondering, “Where did all that money go?” It is no different than any other area of our lives, if we don’t have a leash on it – it will be out of our control. Think of your money like your neighbor’s dog

Primerica Review: the good and bad

written by Bob Lotich, CEPF® | Career & Work, Managing Money, Saving Money

I have been to quite a few multi-level marketing recruiting meetings over the years. I consider myself to be an open-minded person, so I don't mind meeting with the recruiters and really learning what the company is all about. It helps that I don't have much desire to follow the crowd and don't have a problem saying no or leaving when I realize it is not what I was interested in. Since they seem to be growing, I figured I would share my thoughts and see what everyone else thinks.

Is Primerica a legit company? Here are the pros and cons of Primerica from my perspective… I have been to quite a few multi-level marketing recruiting meetings over the years and I don’t mind meeting with the recruiters and really learning what the company is all about.

Save money on car depreciation

written by Bob Lotich, CEPF® | Saving Money

You can minimize the amount of depreciation of your car with these tips… Everyone has heard that a brand new car goes down hundreds or even thousands of dollars the minute you drive it off the dealer’s lot. This is just the beginning. Over the first year some cars depreciate as much as 35%.

Buying a wedding ring from Amazon.com

written by Bob Lotich, CEPF® | Saving Money

Wedding rings on amazon.com

I bought my wife’s engagement ring from Amazon.com and I learned a few things in the process… When I began shopping for my wife’s engagement ring, I started browsing “traditional” jewelry stores to get a ballpark figure for what I could get with the amount I had saved up. Like most other purchases I make, I did my homework and learned about the four C’s (color, cut, clarity, carat) so that I could make an educated buying decision…
